Homework for March 6, 2015

Please check the Telugu Literature page on the blog for extra resources which kids can refer at home. 

NOTE: Refer to the Short Sentences Part 1 link to learn  vocab and sentences. We expect all the kids to write the date on the home work page and all the parents, Please make sure you check their notebook for classwork.


Prathamika 1 & Prathamika 2

Writing:

Write all the alphabets you have learnt so far. we will have a  test on writing and identifying random alphabets.
Please date your homework and write legibly on a fresh page in your note book.


Vocabulary:

Prathamika 1 - Review all the vocabulary letters from -(Based on how much they know)

Prathamika 2 - We have learnt words with చ,ఛ,జ,ఝ in the class. Review all the vocabulary words from క-ఝ and learn the meanings.

Review colors, body parts, numbers, weekdays.


Poem:

అల్పుడెపుడు పలుకు
Parents: please work with your kids and teach this poem.

Story:


Strength in numbers- in Unity (Story of Pigeons and Mice)
Watch this and we will discuss this in class.


Speaking:


Please refer to the Short sentences Part 1 link from Telugu Literature Page to listen and learn simple telugu sentences. Ask kids to note down all the vocabulary words which comes in sentences in their Composition books. - Every week we expect kids to learn few sentences and vocab words from these links. 

Madhyama 1 (A - Class with More kids, B - Class with 6 kids

Writing:

Review all the letters especially recognizing and writing randomly. This is for the kids who  are still struggling with the letter recognition.(A &B)
Review and Practice ఠ,డ,ఢ,త guninthalu (A) - After practicing write once without referring to book

Review and Practice మ, య , ర ,వ  guninthalu (B) - After practicing write once without referring to book

Vocabulary:

After viewing at least 10 sentences in you tube (links are in telugu literature page), Learn all the vocabulary words learned in those 10 sentences.  You can write the vocab words in English if the word contains Vottulu or hard to write for you. (A & B) 


Poem:

Review all the padyams and Poems learned this year. (A&B)


Speaking:

Learn and practice 5 to 10 telugu sentences by looking the You Tube Video. You should remember the meanings of all the words. (A&B)
Practice similar sentences and try to use it with your parents during the week. (A&B)


Story:

NOTE: Parents: Work with your kids and make sure they finish their homework. Please write the date in the book.
Please write the date on the home work.


Madhyama 2 & Utterna

Writing:

Write all the vocabulary words and/sentences you have learned during practicing the sentences by looking at the You tube videos - Write it in Telugu. 

Vocabulary:

After viewing at least 10 sentences in you tube (links are in telugu literature page), Learn all the vocabulary words learned in those 10 sentences. Try to use these vocabulary words in different sentences.

Poem:

మా తెలుగు తల్లికి  - Whole song. Madyama 2 and Utterna
Learn meanings for శ్రీరాముని దయ ... and తల్లి నిన్ను దలంచి ..  (Madyama 2)
Learn meanings for అమ్మలగన్నయమ్మ ... and తల్లి నిన్ను దలంచి ..  (Utterna )

Speaking:

Classwork on Feb 28, 2015

Prathamika 
  • Checked the home work
  • Revised all the alphabets for last year kids - అ - ఱ
  • Practiced అ -అః, క-ణ ( Grade 2 and above) and 
  • అ-అః (below grade 2)
  • Practiced pronouncing the letters properly -ALL
  • Reviewed the vocabulary - ALL
  • Did the quiz.
Madhyama 1 (A - Class with More kids, B - Class with 6 kids)
  • Today we had to make A&B students to sit in one room because of the Parent teacher conferences
  • Checked the home work (A&B)
  • Practiced writing Words with Guninthalu and did the corrections - (A&B) 
  • Practiced saying sentences in Telugu. Learned different meanings for YOU and I (With/without respect ) (A & B)
  • Review of the Poems (A&B)
