End of Year Exam Review - May 8'th and 15'th

Home work for this week and next week is to review all the topics that kids have learned through out the year.  We are posting the Final Exam pattern and Topics. This will help kids practice at home and be familiar with the test pattern.

Please check the Telugu Literature page on the blog for extra resources which kids can refer at home. 

Please check the Vocabulary page on the home page to check all the vocabulary words learned in stories.

NOTE: Refer to the Short Sentences Part 1 & Part 2 links to learn  vocab and sentences. We expect all the kids to write the date on the home work page and all the parents, Please make sure you check their notebook for classwork.

Prathamika - Level 1 


1. Fill in the blanks for alphabet  

   e.g  అ - ఇ – ఉ
2. Letter recognition
   e.g  క – They have to say Ka
3. Oral section
Numbers- 1-20. Tell all numbers in sequence or number recognition.
Colors- Base colors recognition. We will show colors and they need to tell in Telugu
Weekdays- They need to tell weekdays in sequence
Common animals- We will show picture and they have to tell the name in Telugu.
4. Tell any 2 sentences in Telugu
5. Recite Chitti chilakamma and Chetavennamudda
6. Tell words starting with అ,ఆ,ఇ,ఈ,ఉ,ఊ- 2 words for each letter.
Bonus section:
Oral: Tell about their friend or anyone in Telugu

Prathamika - Level 2

1.      Write the missing Alphabet (- )                                                                              10 






       Time: 15 min

2. Random Alphabet dictation                                                                      (20 alphabets)       10
         Time: 10 min

3.Write the words in Telugu ( We dictate them )         (2*10) 20

Example 2-3 alphabet words without guninthaalu and vothulu  -  కల, జలజ
Time: 15 min

4. Write in English or verbally say the Telugu words for the given English word.   (15*2) 30
a.      General vocabulary words(blog and Text book)
b.      Animals, Colors, body parts, week days, Numbers,
c.       Fruits and vegetables, Opposite words

Example: Nose: mukku(write in English or say), Cat: pilli , Red: Erupu

Time: 30 min

5. Write the meaning in English of the Telugu words  (1*10)      10
Example: అంకెలు (Ankelu) : Numbers

Time: 10 min

6. Poem recitation -2 poems                                                     (2*5) 10

   తల్లీ నిన్ను దలంచి, చెత వెన్న ముద్ద గంగి గోవు పాలు

    Time: 5 min

7. Use the given word in simple sentences in telugu  (Verbal)                   (2*5)      10
Example : కాకి-      చెట్టు పైన కాకి ఉంది

   Time: 10 min

Madyama 1 - Level A and Level B

Note: Please maintain the order. Kids are taking much time in writing. So most of the writing part is kept last

      1.       Fill in the blanks. Ex: A_Ti (Banana). The words are written in Telugu, they should fill with Telugu letters. Meaning in English is must in brackets. At least by looking at the meaning they should fill the blanks   (10)

      2.       Talakattu, deergam identification etc. Given the symbol, Student should identify and name it. And vise-versa given the name(it should be in English Ex: Gudi deergham), student should write the symbol (10)

      3.       Match the following: Word to Picture AND Picture to word (5)

      4.       Hallulu added to Acchulu directly OR Hallulu added to short form of Acchulu/symbols. Student should write the answer   (5)
   
       5.       Telugu to English vocabulary – Should cover Week days, Body Parts, Colors, Numbers, Fruits, Animals, Birds(10)

       6.       Short Answer questions(Each 3 marks)
a.       How Aksharalu are divided? Answer:  Talakattu touching, Not touching, No talakattu. For each give 3 examples
b.      How guinthalu formed? Answer: When Acchulu added to Hallulu then Guninthalu formed. Either direct form or indirect form means symbols.  Ex: Ka + A = Ka
      Ka + AA = Kaa
      Ka + E = Ki
      till Kum, Kaha
c.       Mention 5 Verbs : Answer: Raayadam, Chadavadam, nadavadam, Parigettadam etc in Past, Present and Future Tenses
d.      Give examples for Se, Sha, sa - Examples should be written in Telugu
e.      What is the meaning of You (in formal)? We (excluding others)? Etc.. already Taught in class

      7.       English to Telugu vocabulary (They must write in Telugu. Ensure that the answers should have only letters and Gunintalu NO Vattulu)– Should cover: General words, Week days, Body Parts, Colors, Numbers, Fruits, Animals, Birds(15)

a.       Water – Neeru,
b.      Leaf – Aaku
c.       Language – Bhasha

d.      All weekdays except Shukravaaramu (Remaining weekdays does NOT have Vattulu)

e.      Hands – Chetulu
f.        Tongue – Naluka
g.       Ears – Chevulu
h.      Head – Tala
i.         Noru – Mouth
j.        Goru - Nail

k.       Red – Erupu
l.         White- Telupu
m.    Brown – Godhuma
n.      Black – Nalupu

b.      Should cover variations like Gha, Jha, Pa, Pha, sha, sa, ma, ya, va

     10.   Simple sentences using I, You etc. Telugu to English, English to Telugu (5+5)

     11.   Write your own sentence with given words (5)

     12.   Since Oral is taking time: Only ONE poem has to be included in this section. Mostly everything is covered in written Test  (Already covered 100 Marks, this is bonus)
