Prathamika

Writing: 

• Review and write all the alphabets we practiced in the class today. 

Vocab: 

• Review all the fruits and vegetables.
• Learn all the Body parts
• Learn 2 words with alphabets from "ka-gna"
• Each student will learn and say 2 sentences in telugu.

Misc : 

• Special focus: learn the meaning of your name.

NOTE :

• Parents, please check your kids' notebooks for this. 
  ** Home work need to be dated and timed and written legibly on a fresh page in the notebook.
  * Parents should help the kids to learn the meaning for their name.

• Review all the letters especially recognizing and writing randomly. then practice writing guninthalu for the letters which touches the body.  Identify variations in few of the guninthams (A & B sections).

In each class we discussed about the Telugu competitions and the importance of participating in such a competitions to get more exposure and to see how other kids doing in varies different categories. Please encourage the kids to participate and make sure to brink them for such programs.

Announcements - 12-23-2015

1. Telugu Class :  Because of the Christmas break, we have decided not to have the telugu classes on December 27th and Jan 3'rd.  As we will be organizing and participating on Telugu Competitions @ Ashtalakshmi temple on Jan 9'th and 10'th, we do not have class on Jan 10'th.

2. Telugu Competitions : 

As you all know telugu competitions are held at ashtalakshmi temple on 9 and 10'th of Jan.  You can register online by clicking on following link. Please register ASAP so that it will give an idea to organizers for planning.  

We want all the Prathamika kids to participate in Poem Recitation and also in Elocution. Prathamika kids who are good with Telugu vocabulary can participate in Vocabulary section (this is based on Age).

We encourage Madyama 1 Kids to participate in Reading and Writing Level 1, Vocabulary based on Age level, Poem Recitation and also in Elocution.

Madyama II kids can participate in Reading and Writing Level 2/3, Vocabulary based on Age level, Poem Recitation and also in Elocution.

Utteerna kids should participate in Reading and Writing Level 3, Vocabulary based on Age level, Poem Recitation and also in Elocution.

Note: Please read rules to understand  how to prepare for the competitions.  Who ever participating in Poem Recitation and Elocution needs to introduce them-self in telugu.  Here is the sample introduction they can say

నా పేరు ...... నేను సైప్రస్ తెలుగు బడి లో తెలుగు నేర్చుకొంటున్నాను. ఈరోజు నేను చెప్పబోయే పద్యం ----- లోనిది

                      2. Colors, weekdays, numbers (1-10), all animals (page:39),Opposite words (page :47)

Poems: చేత వెన్న ముద్ద, bonus: గంగి గోవు పాలు

 Test Pattern ( Includes but not limited to) Fill in the missing alphabets, identifying the random alphabets and saying two words which start with it, reciting poems and all the other vocabulary and speaking (translating simple English sentences to telugu)

• Review the simple words in Page 14. - This page has words with first 2 forms of guninthalu for most of the consonants. -  Optional (Bonus)  
• Review numbers from 1 to 100 - there will be a quiz on this. - All the kids learned the numbers 1 - 100 in Prathamika class. But when we reviewed in class, couple of them had trouble saying the numbers in Telugu.
• Read/Listen the story తాబేలు కుందేలు - Page 124 and learn all the vocabulary words.  - We will be going over this story for at least 3 weeks until all the kids understand the story and also say few sentences in Telugu.
